The Deception

They made love beneath a jeweled night sky. She burned with desire. He smelled of things forbidden.


“I love you,” she whispered.


“It’s your nature to love,” he replied. “As it’s mine to deceive.”


Lucifer rolled the Seraphim over and tore out her wings. She screamed in agony.


He stood, grinning. “Now. Where were we?”
