Beginnings of books are the hardest part for me, and the part that I rewrite the most. I began this new NR with a great heat of summer scene with lots of sweaty imagery and business that I really liked.
Then I realized, a number of chapters in, that the timing was all wrong for the action that I'd realized I needed to move the plot forward because of a new plot line I needed to weave in. It needs to be late autumn.
