Fingerless Gloves to be Published!!

Hi all-

So first, let me tell you what a journey the last few years have been – from starting out on unemployment, to dispatching limousines, to moving out and back home and out again, the only consistent things have been the love of incredible friends and family, and the writing. I was 22 years old when I wrote the first poem on Adorkablelife.com and when I sank my whole life savings into publishing my first book, Two Wrongs Make a Vice. I’ll never forget the best friends who helped me tour behind that book and those first poems, even when we didn’t have resources to have a real tent or a real setup.

This is also for every person (all 252 of you) who got free promo copies of Two Wrongs along with those first handwritten poems – thanks so much for believing in this and in me from the start. You helped me keep writing when I was unhappy, alone, uncertain, and uncomfortable. You gave me the confidence to believe that my best book was yet to be written and that the only way to figure out what to say is to not stop trying …to understand that words are only a product of experience, and the right ones are always just around the corner.

My second book, Fingerless Gloves, has won a publishing contract that will see it sold digitally, around the world, via Apostrophe Books. This is a huge thank you to Martyn and the Apostrophe team who understood that writing and writers are constantly evolving and constantly reaching higher.
