Move Over Edward: My top list of bad ass Vamps!

As part of the “Halloween sucks, says Lily Drake” Blog hop I am writing about my top three vampires. So sit back, relax and prepare yourself for the epic amount bad-assery about to be had here. Also don’t forget about the giveaway at the bottom of the post and don’t forget to check out the other blogs for more ways to win!

So we’ll start with Damon Salvatore of The vampire Diaries coming in at #3. First… look at him. LOOK! The hair, the expression, those eyes. THE EYEBROWS! How does he do that thing with the eyebrows?   He generally doesn’t give a crap, or at least he puts up a good facade. He has the bad boy attitude but deep down he is a sweetheart. He has that broody, been-burnt-before thing going on yet he is loyal and self-sacrificing. That doesn’t mean that sometimes he doesn’t fly of the handle a little.  He also has a knack for delivering the right amount of sarcasm at the most inappropriate times.

 

 

 

 

 

Next in line at # 2 is Lestat. My personal favorite is the Stuart Townsend version from Queen of the Damned. (Though mind you the Tom Cruise version is still very well done).

What is it that makes Lestat so bad ass in Queen of the Damned? I suppose it’s all about his attitude. He doesn’t want to accept the norm and remain in the shadows and he doesn’t care about pissing off others  in an effort to live the unlife he wants.

As far as sexiness goes… let me present exhibit A and exhibit B for your examination.

The crawl gets me every single time .

 

Finally my # 1 bad ass vamp. Alucard from Hellsing.

Why is my number one bad ass vampire an anime character? I’ll tell you why. Alucard isn’t just any vampire. In the Hellsing series he IS the vampire. The original Dracula. He’s powerful, virtually indestructable,  and can easily tear the competition to shreds with the flick of his wrist. While romance is a bit foreign to this vampire, loyalty is not. With all his power he could destroy the world, bring it to its knees. Instead he works for the Hellsing family as a loyal servant, protecting the world from other vampire and otherworldly scum.

Also he is utterly insane.

Check him out in action, but beware it gets bloody.

So there you have it, if the world was taken over by vampires these are the ones I’d want on my side. What about you? Who do you think is the bad ass of all vampires?
