Hmmm.
I loved writing both. I might say that Birds of Prey was more rewarding in some ways, because it was my first long-term ongoing and NO ONE thought it could be a hit book. It was scheduled for cancellation when I took it over and the tpbs STILL sell incredibly well years later.
No one thought a girl team book could maintain an audience. They had SO MUCH advice for ways to make it palatable to guys…we did none of that and made it a hit. Female team, female writer, and we had five straight years of high sales, reader acclaim and critical success.
I am really, really proud of that.
Secret Six was just fun…the ferocity of Six readers is still extremely humbling.
Dang, I miss them both.
