Finding erotica ebooks: Amazon's unofficial sub-categories
I posted here recently about How to find erotica on Amazon - unlike other categories of fiction, Amazon doesn't provide any official sub-categories for erotica, so everything is dumped together. How much better would it be if there were sub-categories for each of our particular kinks?
What we do have is the system of more informal categorisation, where authors and readers create their own groupings by tagging books. So if you know how to search, you can find those sub-groupings.
I thought I'd start a list, my own very unofficial set of links through to various sub-categories of erotica at Amazon. I've provided links for the US and UK stores, but if you're using another one, just click on the US link and change the .com in the URL to your own country's domain suffix (eg .de for Germany). It should be noted, though, that these categories may not be so well tagged beyond the US and UK at present. It should also be noted that using tags in this way isn't perfect: the transsexual category, for example, won't only contain transsexual erotica.
