Why I Write (Continued)

What is it really that I want to get through to my readers when I write? That is something that is extremely hard for me to answer.

I guess you could say that I have some idea of where to begin, at least where to begin the story line. But, ultimately, I don't rely on what my head tells me I should write. I try to dig much deeper. I search my heart for the subjects that God burdens me with. As I mentioned in another post, it is most often the questions that God gives me to search out the answers in His Word that I start with.

I see the sorrows, disappointments, and desires of those I come across everyday. A yearning for something more than what they have found thus far in this life is what I see when I have the opportunity to share my time with someone. A lack of joy and anticipation knowing that there is something better is often absent.

I lean on God's guidance in study of His Word to write about the questions He gives to me regarding trying to somehow, in some small part, giving just a tiny glimpse of how I know God to be to others.

My desire, the desire God has given me, is to make others question the same things I have questioned. I know this may sound strange. But, for me, it is the questions, the searching of scripture, that has deepened my faith and strengthened my desire to share my God with others.
