I think I found it!

I've wanted to get a back-of-the-neck tattoo for a long time. I know I wanted a spider there, but I wasn't sure which one. I had first thought about a happy face spider, but they are normally green or yellow, neither color of which comes up well on my skin tone. Besides, the happy face spider doesn't really fit my personality.

I didn't want the typical Black Widow because it's expected. Ooo! Vampire writer with a Black Widow...

Then there was the Brown Recluse and the Wolf Spider, but their color palette is very blah and would disappear with my hair.

Then I started looking at the tarantulas. Although black and brown are common, some are amazing colors. Some examples are:

All pretty, and I was thinking about maybe the last one... but today I found this:

Some information about this beauty: Xenesthis Immanis: these tarantulas have a "nervous" rather than aggressive disposition. Found in Colombia, Ecuador and other South American countries, dwelling in rainforests, these tarantulas can live 12-16 years depending on the spider.

Perfect colors for me! As soon as I get money, this lovely is going on my neck...
