SMBMSP: After Hours - An Evening With Erika Napoletano (RedheadWriting)
Here's something fun I learned this year: If you want to meet one of your idols, just organize an event to get her to your town.Although I'm sure this will surprise you, it's not as easy as it sounds.
(Unless you've got Mykl Roventine by your side)
Faithful readers will remember this from last spring. Even though I got my book signed by her, I still wanted to keep good on my word and give others the chance to meet this super awesome chick and learn more about the kickass stuff she does.
And now you can!
If you're not already familiar with Social Media Breakfast Minneapolis, it is an awesome, awesome, AWESOME organization that puts on great events where you can meet the raddest people and learn a shit ton of cool stuff. While the monthly morning events mostly center around bacon (hey, it got me in the door) and different topics as relating to social media, SMBMSP: After Hours is a special evening thang with cocktails, conversation, and fantastic special guests.
Here's the thing: If you're into smart chicks with rad brains who are taking names and kicking asses when it comes to fucking owning life as well as their own corner of the biz world, you can't miss Erika. Even if you don't give a shit about social media or entrepreneurship or marketing, you're still going to want to come just to hear her speak, because this lady is fucking hilarious. And smart. And she has a way of bitch slapping you in a way that makes you like it.
Tickets are only $20 (buuuut there is a limit on them, and they're going fast, so you should go get yours now) and with that ticket you also get Erika's new book, a fan-fucking-tastic evening of cocktails, and a chance to hang with one of the coolest chicks you'll ever meet (Erika's pretty great, too).
So what are you waiting for, Mary?
EDITORS NOTE: Also, check out this awesome podcast that Mykl and Erika did this past week! Your girl Amber also gets a shout-out towards the end. That's totally not as important as the #mindpowerexplode interview that takes place between Mykl and Erika, except for the fact that I like getting shout-outs on podcasts and would like for it to happen more.
