LA bound!!! – From the diary of Janie Valentine

Wow, I’m super excited! Daniel just told me we’re moving to LA. As in LOS ANGELES! I’ll be so freaking happy to get out of Greenwood. Ever since mom and dad died I get treated like I’ve got the black plague. I didn’t do what they accuse me of. I wasn’t even in the house. Oh well, these people want to think I am some kind of witch or something let them. I can’t help it because I was cursed with this weirdness.

Anyway enough about that… WE ARE WESTWARD BOUND! Daniel’s new job is transferring him and he’s taking me with him. I am so glad… I’d go crazy missing him if he didn’t. We may have our differences sometimes, but my big brother is my hero. I don’t know what I’d do without him. He says we have a house waiting on us; and that things are going to be so much better than they are here. I really hope so. A new life in a different place would do us some good.

I just wish he’d tell me more about this job. I kind of get worried with all his secretiveness. We rarely keep secrets but he’s really tight lipped about this. Oh well, I know how he is and I know when he feels like the time is right he’ll tell me. If I try to pry it out of him he’ll only get mad and then it’ll be even longer before I’m told anything. Well I got to get my stuff packed up and getting ready for the flight! I can’t believe it…. I’M GOING TO LA BITCHES!!
