Movie rec: Avatar

Finally got to see Avatar, 3D glasses and all. Wow! Despite the predictable and sometimes preachy plot, I was enthralled through the whole thing. The visuals were stunning and the characters just wonderful and engaging. And the wildlife! It truly was a very realized world, though they were a little sketchy on where food came from. I hate to admit it, but I've never been so glad to see so many humans wiped out by aliens.

I think 3 D is here to stay, and that it will only keep getting better. ...
