Pass the Glue, Please

Pretty much since I started this writing gig, I’ve started each new project the same way. For a week or so before I begin, I find the idea percolating in my head–the who, they what, they why, they how, etc. I have a rough idea on how/where I want to open the book, I know who did it and why, and a pretty good idea on how I want to wrap it all up.
