Busy Busy Busy: Loving Life
School has been in session for one week and I am getting used to the peace and quiet with only one child at home. My routine has been disturbed due to the three-month summer break and it is going to take some time to change my habits back to a schedule. It is great to be busy but my house is calling clean me.
Laundry, dishes, children’s toys and junk mail are on my to do list. I need to make a hundred trips up the stairs to put the toys away. I know toys are at a surplus in our home. A garage sale would be a great idea but with the upcoming baby in November I am holding off until I make a decision. Letting God lead me in the path of the right decision of whether to take on another grandchild. It is a little girl.
My children are happy which is my number one goal. My five-year likes her kindergarten class and her teacher. She is dealing well with being away for a full day of class. So far so good six stickers for the sixth day in a row!
I took my three-year old to the library this morning for some one on one time. It was really nice. He enjoyed the morning reading group. I have been asked to share my book, Your Shoes My Shoes on September 11 and 13th at a local Houston library. I found a shoe apron, purse and a chair to bring with me. I am super excited to read the book to all the little girls and boys.
My second book is very close to being published. I received my manuscript back from the editor last week and I am working on the final edits. This book is geared towards both girls and boys from preschool through third grade. It can be used as a second reader. It is a story about a monster and I have already been invited to a local library in October to read this book.
I am also working on a third book which is about a little girl from Houston, Texas. I am honored to share my work with you and your children.
Have a fabulous week!
