Is Obama For or Against Whaling?

President Barack Obama's administration said it would firmly oppose whaling as nations gather for a meeting of the divided International Whaling Commission (IWC) next week in Rome, Italy. The meeting in Rome is part of Member States efforts to salvage the global body, which has been wracked by disputes pitting pro-whaling Japan against Western nations led by Australia.
