Hi, Casey.I've seen that question a lot lately. I've added a flowchart/reading order to my blog to try and help explain the reading order-it can be found here:
http://deanwrites.blogspot.com/p/refl...
After Broken and Torn then you'll probably want to read Splintered and then Intrusion. From there I'd probably read Handoff and then Scent of Tears, but those two can come before Splintered and Intrusion if you want, they just don't directly pick up the Alec and Adri part of the story so most people read Splintered at least before getting into the short stories.
Let me know if that doesn't get you quite what you needed.
Thanks,
Dean
I'm really excited for the third Guadel Chronicles! I've been waiting all year and I can't wait. Thank you so much.
Hi, Emily. Thanks for stopping by to comment :)I'm glad that you've enjoyed the Guadel Chronicles so far. My wife Katie has been waiting for a total of 5 years now to see what happens next with Va'del and Jain's story, so now that I'm writing full time you can count on her to make sure that I keep that series progressing on at a reasonable clip.
I've been making pretty good progress on Guadel #3 the last two weeks, so I'm actually getting pretty close to being done with the rough draft. Now that I have a better view of how things are playing out in #3 I can confirm that there will be a Guadel #4. I'll likely be starting on it sometime next year :)
Thanks for your patience-I'll keep at it so that you don't have to wait toooo much longer ;)

After freaking out and telling my whole family that my favorite author just replied to my comment I have finally calmed down. :) I'm 16 and if I want something my parents make me buy it with my babysitting money so I spend my money very wisley. After buying my kindle fire in March your book is the only book I've ever bought with it. That's how special it is. I love Va'del and Jane and the cute little moments they have together so make sure to add extra cute ones. I'm very happy that there will be a fourth book and thank you so much for everything!
Emily,Sorry-I've been a little distracted lately so I just barely made it back to your comment. I feel pretty privileged that you'd call me your favorite author-that's a really incredible thing to hear as an author.
What is your favorite Va'del and Jain cute moment from the series so far? I just finished the rough draft of Guadel #3, but after reading your comment I went back to the rough draft and put a note at the front of it to make sure that I go back in and put an extra cute moment in there for you. I'll try very hard to remember to come back here and tell you which chapter I put it in in a month or so when I go back to do my first editing pass.
Thanks again for stopping by!

Don't worry about it I understand that you're busy. I think my favorite Va'del and Jain cute moment would have to be when Va'del goes to the girls common room to tell Jain about marrying Vi'en, but I really do like them all. I have all the cute ones bookmarked and all of the action scenes also. I'm so happy that you would do that for me. I can't believe that I actually have an influence on the book! You don't know how much this means to me thank you so much. I would really appreciate you coming back to tell me the chapter! Thank you so much for your time.
Hi, Emily. I've just finished taking a scene at the end of Chapter 3 and turning it into what I hope you'll think is another Va'del and Jain cute moment. Thanks for reminding me to make sure I didn't scrimp on the romantic side of things in this book-I very much hope you like it once you've had a chance to read it!
If you want to send me an e-mail I'll send you a surprise :)
