My first blog and contest!

It's great to be here on Goodreads! Like most authors, I started off as an avid reader, and I have added some of my favorite books to My Books. You might be surprised that there aren't many vampire books on my list. There's a reason for that-- since I write vampires and shapeshifters, I try to avoid reading similar books. I have a fear of subconsciously influencing my own writing.

Even so, I am often asked to recommend other authors who write books similar to mine. If you like light and funny paranormal romances, I suggest you try Lynsay Sands, Angie Fox, Michelle Rowen, Kimberly Frost, Gerry Bartlett, and Nina Bangs. If you prefer them dark, then try Jeaniene Frost, Pamela Palmer, JR Ward, Kresley Cole, Lara Adrian, Nalini Singh, Sharie Kohler, and Joss Ware.

Here's another surprise-- my next release isn't a paranormal romance, but a historical one! The Forbidden Lady goes on sale September 25th as an e-book for only $4.99.
