Romance Is in the Air!
Romance...According to Merriam Webster, the word means:
1What does it mean to me? I describe romance as the act of showing affection to another person. Okay so that's rather simplistic, but that's my definition.
a (1) : a medieval tale based on legend, chivalric love and adventure, or the supernatural (2) : a prose narrative treating imaginary characters involved in events remote in time or place and usually heroic, adventurous, or mysterious (3) : a love story especially in the form of a novel
b : a class of such literature
2
: something (as an extravagant story or account) that lacks basis in fact
3
: an emotional attraction or aura belonging to an especially heroic era, adventure, or activity
And speaking of romance, I thought I'd share my vote for the most romantic scene from a movie. Now I'm a little biased. Movies right now don't do much for me. I don't know why...but that's me and I am different. But the one I'm thinking of is pretty recent, if within the last 15 years is recent. Giggle. Ever see The Wedding Singer, yeah, that one with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore? People tend to make fun of this movie, but there were moments of schmaltz and moments of sweetness, too. My favorite part is when Julia (Drew) is trying to figure out what kind of kiss is appropriate for church. Robbie (Adam) is there, so Julia's sister has Julia practice on him. It's completely PG, but it's so steamy and sensual that I love it.
So now here's the interactive part. Want to win a book from my backlist? Yeah? Then tell me what your favorite romance scene is from the movies. Leave you answer, your name and email - because I can't contact you if I don't have that - and you're entered. Easy!
And there's a huge prize up for grabs so make sure you're adding your email and name to the comments! Each one is a little closer to winning!
Now here's the list to keep hopping!
