“Having Cassandra...

“Having Cassandra Cain as a Batgirl and a heroine has meant so much to me as an Asian woman. I’m devastated that DC has benched her with no concrete plans to bring her back.”
Sigh. Cass, come back!
Hell as a very-not-asian very-not-female reader I’m STILL hugely upset that she was benched as she was by far the most interesting solo-act in the entire DCU with a truly unique premise which showed the heroine persevere through an enormous struggle of communication as well as to rehabilitate the previous Batgirl who was broken from her… joker-related retirement and had to raise a mute killing-machine into an actual person, and then infinite crisis happened.
Yeah, I’m kind of bitter about it XD
I’ve said this before, but…I owe Cassandra. The first time I wrote her, I had very little reference and didn’t do a great job. Later, I got her series and was just, I have to say it, I was just ENTRANCED by her. I adored her.
My reluctance to accept Steph as Batgirl at first was completely because I loved Cass so much. BQM got me to see how awesome Steph could be. He made me a huge Steph fan.
But Cass is probably the character I haven’t really gotten to write much, that I miss the MOST.
