Independence From Fossil Fuel, Anyone?

In the vein of common sense, it appears clear that if the U.S. government and its citizens want to emancipate themselves from dependence on foreign oil, and fossil fuels in general, then our entrepreneurs and government should direct our efforts to creating alternative sources of power. This means not only fuel sources, but all forms of power generation, such as the Bloom Box (in use at Google’s HQ in California).
