Tumbling Dreams releases in a week
The next story I will have out is a 22K short story called
Tumbling Dreams
in the Olympics anthology
Going For Gold
from MLR press. We got the cover today, and the anthology releases next Friday August 31st.
Here's the blurb for my story:
Gymnast Tyler Bannichek has a shot at his Olympic dreams. He's fighting a recurring back injury, but playing hurt is part of high-level sports. He won't let it hold him back. Even if his roommate Eli thinks he's crazy, taking stupid risks for a moment's glory.
Tyler has a plan: train through the pain, win Olympic gold, then come out of the closet and tell Eli he's ready to be more than just friends. All he needs is hard work, a little luck, and a bit of damned patience from Eli...

Yes! Can't wait for this one! Been waiting to find a story with Olympics as a backdrop.
Kaje, your story was not the longest one in there, believe it or not :D Only one story I selected was under 10k. I went way over the publisher's recommended limit for the book, but the longer stories were so much better.We're listed on Goodreads now, so everyone can add the book to their bookshelves!
