Down the texture rabbit hole

So usually the main page of LJ has links to articles about celebrities I don't care about, or politics I feel impotent about, and maybe some kitty pictures that entertain me for an hour or two. But yesterday I spotted a link to a TEXTURES community, which led me to some small icon-sized textures, and then to someone who had large-sized textures I could actually use for download, which led me to someone else who had awesome Photoshop brushes for download, which led me to look up a Lynda.com tutorial about what's new in brushes in CS6....
Whew!
I still have a bit more video to go. But it's some exciting stuff.

And now I have like 100 new brushes to play with too. (The image above was me testing the built-ins.)
