Mel's Review of Guardian of Fate by LJ Kentowski

Book BlurbFear of death is all too common. Visions of it chill the bones and skip heartbeats. Seeing it coming andknowing only you can rescue the soul of the victim from the fiery bowels of hell... that's downright life-altering.
Cassandra Cosgrove's life was altered at the age of sixteen when she found out that it was her responsibility to save the lives, and ultimately the souls, of innocent victims targeted by Hell's demons. As impossible as it seemed at first, she was able to live a fairly normal life, while secretly fulfilling her obligation as a Guardian of Fate.
But years later Fate has its own plan when her visions begin drastically changing at the same time two mysterious men appear in her life. Cassandra suddenly finds herself caught in a battle between good and evil, with her own soul on the line. When it seems everyone in her life has a secret they've been hiding from her, who can she trust to be the Guardian of her Fate?

Mel's Review              4 Triple Goddess MoonsI was lucky enough to win a print copy of this book in a contest. It's cover is gorgeous and totally grabbed my attention. The beginning of the book was a bit hard to follow and was a little to overly descriptive about some of it's details. But once you get a few chapters in, it started to flow as you start finding out more about the major characters, and I have to say LJ kept me guessing. Every time I thought I had what was going on and figured out, she threw me for a loop all the way through to the ending. Even if some of the choices the characters made didn't always make sense (why would you wander off by yourself when the bad guy is lurking around?) I still really enjoyed the book and hope to see more in this series, because there is a new hunk in town and no matter his origins Hunter has earned a spot in my top 5 favorite sexy book bad boys and I want more! ;) Recommended.
