There’s a myth that exists in many Christian circles today. It says that the Pastor of the church is the only one who can ever get anything done. It begins and ends with him. Our recent generations grew up in an age of the church where the Pastor was expected to do it all and be the man. He married you and buried you. He visited you at your house if you were a first time guest and he visited you in the hospital if you were sick. And for many of us, he was our only source of spiritual connectivity to Jesus.
