"Forest"Ode to Camp Wakatomika
Oh, dear Camp Wakatomika
Do I ever miss you so
Every summer I had spent with you in my childhood
To walk the sacred trails
Other girls of long ago had tread
What fond memories I hold of you
Always beckoning me to walk in your woods
Keeping Girl Scout traditions alive
Always teaching me wilderness skills and more
Today, you camp is threatened to close
Oh how tragic still
My mind cannot even fathom nor
Imagine a world without a Gypsy campfire nor
Kapers, horseback riding and more
All learned at Camp Wakatomika, the spirit of Girl Scout camping.
