About the Writer

1. What five words describe you?

Loyal, Honest, Dependable, Caring and Driven

2. What was the first story you ever wrote? I mean the really bad one we all have that you’re trying to hide in the back of closet now that you’re published?

I had to laugh at this, not just chuckle, but actually laugh out loud. To be perfectly honest, the first book I wrote was My Blood Runs Blue, the first book I published. Way back in high school I used to write poetry, but I hated writing stories. It wasn’t until I actually got a plot line in my head that was trying to break down my mental walls that I put it on paper and it was published April 2011.

3. What inspires you?

People inspire me. Well, let’s say people who fight for good things inspire me. I like to see the underdog win the prize. I like to know that someone wants something bad enough that they will fight for it. When I see people do this, and then I see those same people reach out to help others, that inspires me. The willingness to give back to others after they have won, that touches my heart and my mind deeply.

4. What distracts you?

Life. It moves to fast! There is always something else that needs to be done. My full time job, housework, my business and my family! Not that I mind my family distracting me – but always being on the go has a way of keeping you distracted. When I have quiet days – I get the most done.

5. What’s your favorite story? This can be specific, as in a particular book or even story-driven movie, or general, like “I’m a sucker for a hero looking for redemption story.”

I like to read Paranormal stories. As I am a police officer full time, I spend so much time in real life drama that stepping out of it and into a paranormal story helps me to relax. I like suspense in my stories and I don’t want to see the end coming. I want to be surprised. Of course, I will admit that a good solid love story is awesome, but I want the male and females to be equal in strength. I don’t like weak woman, I want them strong.

About the Writing

1. Tell us about your currently available titles.

In 2011 I published the “My Blood Runs Blue” and the second book of that series, “Blue Blood for Life”. It is a paranormal series that brings police and vampires together in a series of twists and suspense. There are four books in that series and I am currently working on the third book.

On July 13, 2012 I released my latest novel, “Whether I’ll Live or Die”. It is an intense and emotional journey of domestic violence. In this novel you will walk with Amanda as she deals with the mental and physical abuse she finds herself in over and over again as a young adult. You will also move along with Nicole who is a police officer and is dealing with victims through the legal system.

I am so excited about the release of this novel! It is a heartbreaking story of pain and frustration seen from both points of view. The point of this novel is to show victims of domestic violence that there is a way out and people who can help. You just have to make the choice to reach out to the resources for assistance.

2. What’s your favorite part about writing these stories?

I love to give the characters a voice. I love to open them up and share them with people. A lot of what I have written comes from my own experience and from the things I see. I love being able to put that in words to share with others.

3. What would your characters say about you? Be honest!

Hmmm… Let’s see. Officer Kristin Greene from the My Blood Runs Blue series would probably say that I run a tight ship! She would probably tell you that while I listened to her and what she wanted to say, I would argue back with her about the right course to be taken.

Now Officer Nicole Nolan would thank me. I know that she would want others to hear this story and knows that I did my best to show people that abuse happens, but you don’t need to be a victim, you can get out.

4. Who would play your favorite character if they made a movie of their story?

Wow… That is a tough question!!! Honestly – I have no clue! In fact when I looked at this question, I started trolling the internet looking for some actors and actresses, but I have no idea. There are so many incredible actors out there I would not have any idea who to cast. I’d have to leave that up to the people who get paid for that!

5. Do you have any projects currently in the works you want to talk about?

Currently I am working on book 3 of the “My Blood Runs Blue” series. This is a priority to me right now as my fans have been waiting patiently for me to finish “WILoD”. Now that it is complete, it is time to fall back into the land of Fawn Hollow Township.

I am also working on a new novel called “Garda”. It will be a paranormal novel about an Elite Team of Guardian Angels. The main characters in the book are Corey and Mitch who are both police officers. Corey is killed in the line of duty and life will change drastically for Mitch after the incident. There is also another main character, Brock. He will be Corey’s guide in the new realm, and help her to learn all that she must do as part of the team.

A contemporary romance novel called “Liveon” has been sitting on the back burner for many months. I hope to pull it off, stir it up and move it forward later this year! Jacquelyn Liveon and Ryan Palmer want to get this story on the pages!

There are several other plot lines that I have jotted down and partial started. When I get ideas, I tend to write a chapter or two to keep the thoughts and then I put them away until I have time to start moving them forward.
