Yes. Even if it becomes affordable to say, first world people, it might never be within reach for say, war-wounded Afghanis or people in less fortunate countries (or even, say, in countries where health services have budgets or general health care does not exist, even though the country is affluent). But it's doable, and I'd expect things to get cheaper as they are "mass-produced". In any case, just a few years ago, it would have been unimaginable that Oscar Pistorius would compete with non-amputee athletes.
