Incursion's technology: It's real

I like to take credit when I deserve it, but I diod not make up some of the technology in Incursion. Kyle's prosthetics, "cheap" in his world and time (and pretty low tech by his standards) already exist, though they are buy no means cheap or common or even something for the mass market. also, obviously, his are slightly more advanced, as they don't need crutches.

So, have a read of this Guardian article and click the links. It's interesting stuff.

Christina Technology is moving in that direction. I think we'll get there sooner or later. Unfortunately, the problem will always come down to cost. I'm not sure how we can overcome that one.

Thanks for sharing Aleks.

Aleksandr Voinov Yes. Even if it becomes affordable to say, first world people, it might never be within reach for say, war-wounded Afghanis or people in less fortunate countries (or even, say, in countries where health services have budgets or general health care does not exist, even though the country is affluent). But it's doable, and I'd expect things to get cheaper as they are "mass-produced". In any case, just a few years ago, it would have been unimaginable that Oscar Pistorius would compete with non-amputee athletes.
