Write an entire novel? No problem! Write a book blurb? PANIC!
Coming up with a book description unnerves me every time. And the darn thing determines whether a reader takes a closer look or Moves On. That's the power of the blurb!
The Entangled (Spellbound #1) blurb has been bugging me for months. I hoped that with enough positive reviews and word of mouth readers would look beyond it and hear that this was a fun, fast read.
Finally - tonight after several glasses of wine - I came up with something I think better hints at the wacky situation Gray finds herself in: body sharing and having to pretend to be her sister, which means dressing a different way, dealing with snotty friends, and having to fend off Charlene’s boyfriend’s octopus hands.
That alone would make me want to read if I was skimming the shelves! ;) Especially the tidbit about the problematic boyfriend's octopus hands. HAHA
Ah, the power of some good wine. And I feel you on blurb writing. It drives me crazy. I think it's the hardest part of writing a novel!
