Yes, choosing to diffuse a situation by talking instead of a fistfight is so weak. Pfft, pragmatism sucks unless Batman’s the one doing it.

I have seen some of this…I totally get why people would be mad that it wasn’t a traditional hero/hero fight. But yikes, I want each fight to have a different emotional content and tone. If you look, Batgirl really isn’t trying to fight back…if she does, it escalates.

Batgirl could have stood up a lot better to Batwoman if she’d had something to fight FOR. But that wasn’t what the scene was about.

I talk about this a lot, it was a major theme in Wonder Woman…strength manifests in different ways. Batwoman got the punches in, but Batgirl won, in my opinion.

Everyone reads things differently, it’s part of the fun of comics.
