Character Interview: Dariel Raye & Sable from “Sable”
I’m happy to welcome Dariel Raye to the blog today, along with Sable from the first Dark Sentinels story… appropriately titled, Sable. Happy to have you both!

Mia: What is the name of the book where we’ll find you?
Sable: First, let me say i dont really have time for this interview. I’m here because Akila insisted, so let’s make it as quick as possible. Can you tell us a little about it? Actually the book is named for me. I’m the first Sentinel Dariel chose to write about. It’s about the time I went to find my sister. She’s my twin, and her voice has always been in my head. After she’d been gone a few days looking for a mate, I couldn’t hear her anymore. Scared the hell out of me. Let’s just say Syreena led me to my future (wolfish grin)
Mia: Tell us a little about yourself. Where do you fit into the story? What should we know about you?
Sable: Well, like I said, the story is named after me. Dariel calls me the hero (shrugs wide shoulders and smiles, making those baby blues even more irresistible) .
Mia: What do you think of the author? Be honest. We won’t tell.
Sable: She’s an animal lover, first & foremost, but I’m a little pissed with her right now. I don’t want to get into it.
Mia: How do you feel about the story you’re in?
Sable: I don’t want to knock it when it’s what really happened, but my perception was a little different in some places.
Mia: Do you like being a character in the book?
Sable: Who wouldn’t want someone to tell their story, even if it doesn’t always put them in the best light?
Mia: How do you see your future? Without giving anything away about the story, naturally.
Sable: Honestly, for the first time since I was a cub, I don’t know what the hell I’m gonna do. I know how I feel, but not sure what yo do about it. My pack feels one way and I feel another, but tuck them (clenches jaw, narrows gaze). They never gave a damnable about me or my sister, anyway.
Mia: What do you know about your author’s plans? Can we expect to see you in any future stories?
Sable: I’m sure you will. I was important enough for her to tell you about first, and ive still got some ass-kicking yo do. Plus, Akila’s not really satisfied with the way things are right now (long lashes sweep down as he frowns, a guilty look crossing his handsome face).
Mia: Let’s say they make a movie about this book. Who do you want to play you, and why?
Sable: Don’t pay much attention to other men, but somebody big with fighting skills. When I think about it, they’re gonna be hard-pressed just to find someone my size. I don’t much like this question. Are you finished with me, Ms. Damien?
