The endless roar of the three rivers colliding together as they fiercely tumbled into great depths echoed unchanging. In the deep past these rivers had carved their way through the rocks of the mighty Inaccessible Mountains. Now running through deep chasms, they had forged the Triune Falls by their shear strength and the power of eons of time. Down from the north sprang Valk, the mightiest of all. It was fed by endless glaciers and melting snows of the mountains beyond. From the southwest came Esch, calmer but wider than Valk. Denmala, narrow and violent, and by far the youngest of the three rivers, raced in from the west. Together these three rivers had gouged out of the living rocks a deep and cavernous valley. Their waters plummeted into a deep chasm, and a powerful river ran off to the east. Where the final watercourse went, or to what sea it emptied into, none knew. This vast array of the power of water sent out an unending mist of vapor that rolled up like a great cloud of steam. Above all of this, seemingly uncountable rainbows floated and swirled. They seemed to move with a life of their own, and could be seen during the day as well as all night. Even the faintest of moon light gave a dazzling display of colors against the ebony night sky. And black the sky was at night, for at this time there were no stars in the heavens above. Below all of this many deep caverns had formed in the rocks behind the Triune Falls. This is where the mighty Pennatu Allar lived.

First let me start by saying I'm not very good at this whole review thing but the book intrigued me and I wanted to help out.
It's been awhile since I've read a fantasy novel but I must say that I liked this one. The way it was written was like that of a great storyteller back before books existed and people relied on those storytellers for entertainment.
The story is of the evil N'atax who seems bent on world domination, as most bad guys are. :) And of course I love the whole female heroine thing. Definitely up my alley. The author does a fantastic job of detailing and describing the land of Arth as well. All in all I liked the book. It's defiantly epic and I can see many more good things from the author.
