Top 5 Make-out Spots in L.A.

Although Tom and Isabel never ventured too far from home, there are some amazing ‘make-out’ spots in Los Angeles. As a Southern California gal, these are some of my favorite picturesque and romantic sites. Do you have some favorites to share?

1. Temescal Canyon Overlook

This little-known spot just a bit north of Palisades Park features a bird’s-eye view of the coastline and ocean from atop a steep cliff.

 

2. Roof Bar @ the Standard

I know this list has a bit of an adolescent flavor, so here’s a spot that’s just for grown-ups: a roof bar in downtown LA that comes complete with poolside waterbeds.

 

3. Santa Monica Pier

There are almost too many opportune locations for cuteness at the Santa Monica Pier to bother listing them: the carousel, the arcade, the little shops … it’s just lovely!

 

4. Point Dume

When seeking the ideal make-out spot, scenery is absolutely paramount. And Point Dume has some of the finest scenery in Southern California.

 

5. Mulholland Drive

When looking for the perfect make-out spot in the hills, follow this rule of thumb: Anywhere that would be ideal for disposing of a body is also ideal for making out!

 

Below are some other very appropriate spots for private make-out sessions.

Griffith Observatory

If you haven’t been up to the observatory since it reopened in 2006, this is the time to go. You can take the time to make-out on all of those adorable terraces and pathways at dusk.

 

The Getty Villa

Ah, the many wonders of the Getty Villa: the Etruscan art! The Roman statues! The delightful architecture! Making out to a view of waves crashing against seaside cliffs!
