The Brazilian Edition of “Rogue Island”

The Brazilian cover of “Rogue Island,” retitled “Through the Fire.”

What do you think of the Brazilian cover of my first Mulligan novel, Rogue Island?

The original title, a pun on “Rhode Island,” doesn’t work in Portuguese, so the publisher changed it. Translated, the new title means Through the Fire.

I’m not sure when the book will be available in Brazil, but it will probably be just a few months.  The novel is being published in ten foreign countries.

Rogue Island, the first novel in my series featuring Providence, R.I., investigative reporter Liam Mulligan, won both the Edgar Award and the Macavity Award.  The second, Cliff Walk, was published this spring to rave reviews. And the third book in the series is almost completed. You can purchase print, e-book and audio book editions of both Mulligan novels here.
