Michael Michael Motorcycle

swarm-300
Second edition, coming August 13

It's funny, I usually make either their eyes or their lips the focus of the composition. But I figured I'd better post this one before I got lost in the vortex of Michael's stubble. Man, I LOVE that facial hair on him.

Johanna Ha! That stubble is wild. :) It makes me smile like an idiot — and I can't seem to stop grinning and staring at it either... ;) So I bet it's hypnotic somehow... and how come I've missed the fact that this guy has such a pretty mouth too... and fingers... and eyelashes...

*shudders and blinks rapidly*

Anyhoo, I like how you made the scars on his neck. I haven't noticed those in previous covers. :)

message 2: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Price I don't think I showed his scarred neck anywhere else but on the cover of the paperback. I'm sure the vampires look right past the hypnotic stubble-swirl and zero right in on those scars.

There's a lot of interesting pattern and motion going on in this cover. I'm really happy with the way it came out.

message 3: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Price Oops, I'm wrong, the scars are on the Snare cover too.

Sherry F Very cool!

Thanks :D
Just finished the ebooks. Looks like I'm ahead of schedule.

message 6: by Joyce (new)

Joyce I love, love, love the new covers!!! Manikin is still my favorite of them all so far.. Can't wait for Aug 13th!!!!

message 7: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Price Agreed, the look on his face on Manikin sends my mind to some pretty happy places ;-)

message 8: by Joyce (new)

Joyce I don't think I should comment on where that particular cover sends me.. :) It is just gorgeous!!!

message 9: by Carey (new)

Carey I've been wondering when the next one was coming out! Yay! It's gorgeous!

message 10: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Price Thanks! I show Oct 2 for Elixir, then Bill and Michael get to roll off into the sunset. Or after the sunset.

*LOL* His stubble is swarming. I just HAVE to re-read these now. And I want to buy them all over again, not only because of the covers ( they make me drool buckets, it's your fault I'm dying of dehydration here) but also because I have them as pdf's and they don't agree with my ereader. I'm gonna treat myself to some yammy Epub's!

message 12: by [deleted user] (new)

PS: Will I still get all the covers if I buy 1-5 as a bundle?

message 13: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Price Yes, the ebooks are the same as if you bought them separate, there's just a price savings.

message 14: by [deleted user] (new)

I am tempted to repurchase these just to get your little story notes at the end! x) They're really interesting. Gorgeous cover!!

message 15: by Jordan (new)

Jordan Price Wow, really? Maybe I should post the afterwords as GR "reviews." Not to take away from the re-issue or anything, but I don't think original readers should pay twice.

message 16: by Joyce (last edited Aug 10, 2012 06:04PM) (new)

Joyce I told Carey to read them!!! I think they add to the story.. I came to them as re-issues.. I was just getting to the point to buy the original SWARM and am glad I waited.. I would have been majorly disappointed to miss the new cover and extras..

That would be really great if you decided to do that! :)

Thanks, I'm glad you like 'em!

It's funny, a few years ago I was on a panel on ebooks and they were very new still, and someone in the audience remarked that it was a shame about ebooks because their increasing prevalence meant that cover art would eventually go away.

How untrue!

I know when an ebook has a lousy cover, even if I want to read it, I have a hard time buying it and calling it up. I think the cover is still as integral as ever.
