Just in case you thought it was just black people who hated gay people, get into how your white brethren showed up and showed out for chicken and homophobia.

Because nothing brings Americans together like hating on gay people!

I had some creep say he was looking out for me (with a gun) for talking about this yesterday.

Just good homespun folks, is all.

Look at them lining up like a Parade of Douches.

Okay no. NOT cool. At all.  I’m not okay witheitherside of this debate, because both sides are acting, well, douchey.  To these people, they’re standing up for what they believe, and supporting someone whose values they appreciate.  I think they’re wrong in the way they’re doing it, but to label them haters, douches, whatever—that isnotright.

I respect your right to be gay/whatever you wanna be.  Please respect my right to believe your decision is wrong.

No, you don’t deserve hate for it, but I’m sick of being labelled for my beliefs.  Not all of us belong to Westboro.

Bullshit. Gay people aren’t spending millions to take away the rights of multi-millionaire activist CEOs. It’s a complete false equivalency. Also, some of that money went to a group that actively lobbied to prevent condemnation of a Ugandan law that allowed gay people to be executed. If that isn’t hate, what IS?

And finally, most of those people didn’t say they were there to ‘support free speech.’ They were there because they oppose rights for lgbtq people. They’re entitled to say what they want and eat what they want.

But I stand by my assertion of how it makes them look.
