I guess it’s time I start reading these comics now, so I can decide if I need to rant or not. I’d refused to read them up to this point.

So… is it wrong that I’m really excited that they’re not married anymore?

Not really, but I hate that they essentially have to always treat Storm like shit in these things. So, I’m going to have to read it to get more context.

I always HATED this pairing from the get-go, anyway, so I’m not broken up about this. BUT… this is Marvel. Seriously. They spend MONTHS building up to the Wedding of the Century, then get their usual relapse of ADD and decide, “oopsie, this is boring, time for another retcon! YIPPEE!” Notice how this is happening in tandem with that guy they interviewed who said “We can’t do a Black Panther movie because we don’t how we’d create a setting like Wakanda?”

An anullment in one comic panel. Of a crossover title. Crossover titles SUCK. Seriously, Marvel???? They’re just gonna go out like that? I read one of the Daredevil/Black Panther issues in the store a couple of months ago and it was godawful. Horrible art where the action was indiscernible and flat storytelling. I hated Warren Ellis’ Storm in his first arc of Astonishing, and just when it got good with Xenogenesis, they changed everything again.

What’s this “high priest of the Panther Clan?” technically, wouldn’t that big Panther God cat beast have to do the anulling? Since when is T’Challa a high priest? I get that he’s King, and he can pretty much do what he wants, but he’s a high priest, too???

This exactly. As I explained somewhere else, I’m not a fan of the pairing, but that’s because I felt like this was just their “Oh, they’re both black and African. They should get married!” move. Not to mention they went through all this goddamn trouble of shoehorning this couple to be canon in the first place because apparently they couldn’t be bothered to actually build the relationship from scratch. I probably would’ve shipped this to hell and back if they’d treated this pairing with the dignity and respect that it deserved.

Now granted, after reading this, I understand why he did it, but at the same time, it’s still stupid because he’s supposed to know her best. This is also after she screamed in the middle of battle that THIS IS WHY THEY HAVE A MARRIAGE COUNSELOR. Because yeah, Storm would totally announce that all in public right at that moment. Oh, and next page after the annulled marriage deal, someone asks, “Can we trust Storm?” WHAT DO YOU MEAN CAN YOU TRUST STORM? When has Storm ever said, “This is wrong. I want to help.” and BETRAYED anyone?

And this is the LEAST of my issues with the whole story. I have lots of other issues. Oh, God, I said I wasn’t going to start ranting this early in the morning. LOL.

DT, this is why you are my hero! lol. However I’m still going to forever ship RoLo all day. 

Same. Or that’s one of my many ships with her, but that’s probably one of my top 2, even when I complain about Wolverine and his relationship skills. LOL.
