Kylie I find it interesting that you think of yourself as a writer, not a fantasy writer. Do you think you will always stick with fantasy or is it possible you might move out into other genres?

message 2: by Juliet (new)

Juliet Kylie, I have considered branching out into women's fiction or straight historical fiction at some point in the future. There are some Australian fantasy writers who have done this very successfully eg Kim Wilkins (Kimberley Freeman) and Fiona MacIntosh.

Christina Foss Your stories and writing is so beautiful, I'd read anything by you!

Candace "There’s an element of inspiration from a favourite Thomas Hardy novel, The Mayor of Casterbridge, in there too."

This is one of my favorite books! And you are one of my favorite authors. So now I'm convinced more than ever that I need to read Shadowfell asap (as if I really needed more convincing).

I'll definitely be looking for the parallels from The Mayor of Casterbridge when I do!

I studied The Mayor of Casterbridge as part of my English course at university and it had a big impact on me.
