With seven days left, my Kickstarter for Clockwork Phoenix 4 has passed $7,400. Past $8,000, I can commit to paying 5 cents a word — the first time I've ever been able to offer pro rates for one of my projects. We have one week left.

1a.) If we actually hit that goal with days to spare, then I've got something new in mind. I've wanted to try creating my own web-only market for poetry and fiction for a long, long time but haven't had the resources. Now maybe it's finally possible. We'll see how it plays out.

2) Mythic Delirium reopens to submissions today for Issue 28. We'll be open through Oct. 1. Guidelines are here.

3) I'm proud to report that I've sold a poem, "Machine Guns Loaded With Pomegranate Seeds," to Strange Horizons poetry editor Sonya Taaffe ( sovay ). It's a poem that at last expresses (in verse) my take on Persephone poems.
