Goodbye Birthday, and a New Book Announcement

This has been a fun month, reflecting on the past year since publishing Blacklisted from the PTA and hearing from some of it’s many fans. I am really very lucky to know so many talented and generous women that are willing to stop everything and come to a virtual party during the heat of summer. In case you missed any of their wonderful posts, I have linked them below for your reading pleasure. A few still have giveaways open, I believe so if you looking to score one of those autographed copies, this is your chance!

New Book Announcement (aka, This is a big deal!)

I didn’t realize when Blacklisted came out how quick of a read it was. The week of the launch people asked me when the next book was coming out. Um…. next book? I hadn’t thought that far. But I did get to work. And so, without any more words than necessary (because I need to save some for my manuscript) I am excited to let you know that my second collection of highly entertaining and occasionally poignant essays will be available in paperback and Kindle just in time for holiday gift giving.

Who Peed on My Yoga Mat?

More essays about motherhood, marriage, and “living the dream.” This collection is full of funny and irreverent observations on everyday life in affluent suburbia. These are stories of watching my adorably annoying toddlers transform into text-obsessed media sponges with hair in places I’m still regretting I saw. It’s about modern domestic obsessions, like protein grams, screen time, and how to get dirt on my kids from Facebook. It’s about standing up to the PTA and ignoring the POA. It’s about navigating the “for worse” part of the marriage vows and surrendering to scheduled sex. It’s about carving out time for myself while trying to glean spiritual wisdom from hot yoga teachers, the Dalai Lama, and yes, even George Costanza.

Who Peed on My Yoga Mat? is the perfect read for those stolen moments in a carpool line, or sitting in the orthodontist’s lobby, or hiding in the bathroom during a PTA meeting.

And did I mention it’s a rockin’ stocking stuffer?

Coming in November!
