Yesterday I cleaned up our backyard fountain and got it going. The soft splash of water adds life and motion to our postage-stamp-size backyard. It attracts more birds than still water alone, and its soothing babble covers up traffic noise.  Our lot backs up to Culver which is a busy six-laner going into the 405.
