In the Mailbox 2: The Traitor Queen Giveaway

The other parcel to arrive recently was a box of The Traitor Queens. To celebrate I’m giving away a signed copy to a randomly selected commenter who correctly answers this question:

What is the vital difference between what can be done by the wearer of a blood ring, and the creator (as in, the person whose blood was used to make it)?

Comments close in 24 hours, at 10 am tomorrow morning in Melbourne, Australia. (Though if I get a lot of comments it may take me a while to select and announce the winner.)

Delphine I think it is CONTROL :) The creator can listen in the wearer's thoughts and communicate at will, but his thoughts are shared only according to his willingness!
I was waiting for this last book to come out so I can read the series all in a row :) I am listening to the Audiobooks of the Black Magician Trilogy right now! They are very well narrated, a treat to enjoy once again!

Andrew Simpson The difference is that the wearer can only receive thoughts from the creator of the ring. The creator can listen to the mind of the wearer and send them thoughts, like communicating.

I am an avid fan of all of your books, have read them all!

Claudi So, I may have gone a bit overboard with my discription and I could be 100% wrong but here goes...

The ring forms a bond between the wearer and the creator. The creator's blood ensures that he/she has access to the wearer's mind. With this connection the creator is able to see and experience what the wearer is experiencing as well as read his or her thoughts. This access to the mind also helps the creator to communicate with the wearer. The creator is the only person who is able to initiate this connection.
