The Little Dash




Living ONLY for yourself, is such a sad, meaningless, selfish, and lonely existence.  The highlights of your life will only consist of being born and dying.  Two dates will be what define your time on this earth.  What a waste of such a precious gift.  What a waste of LIFE.  That is just so wrong.  It breaks my heart to think about it.  You have to make the time in between those two dates really STAND for something, because once you're gone, you're gone.  You have to become so much more than just two simple dates.  You weren't born for YOU, you were born for everyone else.   



I don't want to be remembered for the day I was born or the day I die.  I want to be remembered for all the days in between.  I want to be remembered for "THE LITTLE DASH."  You know, that little line they put in between the day you were born and the day you die on your tombstone, "THE LITTLE DASH."



"THE LITTLE DASH"  is my PURPOSE, my DESTINY, and my HAPPENSTANCE.  It's the same for everyone that chooses to put the focus of their life on "THE LITTLE DASH" instead of the two dates.



Imagine, for a moment,  if everyone only lived for themself and those two dates.  Look at all the lives that would be affected.  The lives that would turn out so differently because of all the people that weren't there for them, because they were too busy only living for themself.  It would have a domino affect on the world.  One person that didn't have someone to help them, would fall and knock down another person that didn't have someone to help them.  Then that person would fall and knock down another person that didn't have someone to help them, and on, and on, and on.  The chain reaction would be devastating.



Maybe you've never thought about this before.  Well, you need to think about it.  Maybe reading this, you realize that you ARE just meandering through life not living in "THE LITTLE DASH."  Well, you need to stop it.  YOU MATTER........EVERYONE MATTERS.  We ALL need each other, and we ALL need to be needed.  There is someone's life that needs YOU in it.  LIVE in "THE LITTLE DASH," and help others LIVE in "THE LITTLE DASH" too.
