A Dead Red Cadillac FREE: 7/11 to 7/13

What's this book about?
Twice divorced NY model, Lalla Bains, now runs her dad’s crop-dusting business in Modesto, California where she’s hoping to dodge the inevitable fortieth birthday party. But when her trophy red vintage Caddy is found tailfins up in a nearby lake, the police ask why a widowed piano teacher, who couldn’t possibly see beyond the hood ornament, was found strapped in the driver’s seat. Reeling from an interrogation with local homicide, Lalla is determined to extricate herself as a suspect in this strange murder case. Unfortunately, drug running pilots, a cross-dressing convict, a crazy Chihuahua, and the dead woman’s hunky nephew throw enough road blocks to keep Lalla neck deep in an investigation that links her family to a twenty-year old murder only she can solve.

Wildly popular humorous Mystery: A cross-dressing convict, a crazy Chihuahua & drug running crop-dusters all conspire to ruin Lalla Bains' 40th birthday party: http://amzn.to/x5qSDD

Reviews:

“Ex model and motorhead, Lalla Bains, pilots us through a murder investigation with more twists and turns than the coast highway and with an ending more satisfying than the purr of a perfectly tuned ’60 Cadillac.”
Lesley Diehl, author of A Deadly Draught, Mainly Murder Press; Dumpster Dying, Oak Tree Press www.lesleydiehl.com http://anotherdraught.blogspot.com/

“Fresh and fun! With its engaging, down-on-her-luck sleuth, homicidal Caddy and a decades-old mystery, R.P. Dahlke’s promising debut, A DEAD RED CADILLAC, will keep you turning those pages and guessing wrong right up to its surprising conclusion.”
Kris Neri, Lefty Award-nominated author of REVENGE FOR OLD TIMES’ SAKE

Lalla Bains is an engaging heroine. She smart, tries to be tough, and wants to help, especially her father. The setting of the ag crop dusting business is very well done. I could feel the heat and dust, smell the ag chemicals. The mystery is first rate - satisfyingly complex, but solvable. I figured out who done it about 3 pages before Lalla did. Lalla's interpersonal relationships made for interesting side notes and rang true. I can't wait to find out what happens next.” Ruthann Sutton, Amazon/Kindle Reader

“R. P. Dahlke's A Dead Red Cadillac is a mystery that will make you sit on the edge of your seat in suspense, laugh out loud at the splashes of humor, and maybe even shed a tear. It took a little bit to get into the story, but once there - which didn't take long, I was hooked. We are introduced to Lalla and grow to really like her. I especially enjoyed the relationship elements in this book. The relationship between a daughter and her father; a daughter and her mother; and a sister and her brother. I also liked the relationships between friends; and even a long awaited romance starting to bloom. A Dead Red Cadillac has a bit of everything you could ask for in a mystery. It keeps you guessing and turning the page to find out what happens next. It is a read that you can sink into and when finished you close the book and eagerly reach for the next in the series - A Dead Red Heart.” Kellie M. Rix, reader

R.P. Dahlke I'm sooo glad you're enjoying this 1st in the series. Then you're gonna like the other two. The Kindle Book Review says A Dead Red Oleander is "Janet Evanovich with crop-dusters!"
