AMOK AT JPM: BETWEEN THE INSANE AND SANE
This posting is by person who call himself "Rakyat Prihatin" who sympathized with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak for working hard to restore the people’s confidence Barisan Nasional’s strength.

Although this is done by “insane” people, but they seem to have used their brains to find a place that could shook the world and take away the people’s confidence in Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein, who often gave statistics on drop in crime rate.People are asking, if an amok can happen in front of the Prime Minister’s Department, how can they be sure of their safety at their own homes.
This incident, although not a normal crime, can create doubts among the people on the efficiency and capability of the police to ensure public safety.
Police only see robbers as criminals, but the express bus drivers who exceed the speed limit everyday on the expressways are not regarded as criminals and until now, we don’t know how many people died because of such drivers.
Everyday the people or drivers of private vehicles saw express buses being driven at high speed over-taking them. Monitoring is done only on certain days and not everyday as being done in the developed countries that they have been able to mould the attitude of their public transport drivers.
What happened in front of JPM indicated that the Home Minister was referring to normal crimes, not the hidden or unexpected ones.
This daring crime that could be likened to a scene in a Hollywood film happened on the day the Home Minister denied an allegation by the opposition that crime was on the rise.
As usual, he would give index on a drop in crime rate, but on the same day, newspapers published stories of a bus carrying school children being robbed and also a policeman’s head being shoved at gun point by a criminal.
We find it weird how JPM, which is the most important country’s administrative center and is installed with tight security control system, like CCTV could be infiltrated easily by an insane couple carrying swords. How could a man person reach the JPM’s gate and over-powered a guard.
Attempts by NST and Berita Harian to hide the amok story at JPM in their inside pages cannot cover the Home Minister or government’s weakness. Instead, it creates more negative perception from the people as an effort to cover their weaknesses.
The question of a mad man running amok and wants to be the Imam Mahadi or topple the government, is just to add colour to the story, but the serious part is the story on the ability of the Imam Mahadi to drive to JPM to launch his attack in front of JPM.
An insane man knows JPM. It is the same like two mad pilots launching an attack on the WTC building in New York on 11 September 2011. The building was a symbol of the American economic power at that time.
Primitive interpretation cannot be used on the amok incident at JPM. The scenario in the country now requires a wider perspective, dynamic and futuristic measures. The Home Minister has the capacity to think about it and not merely being progressive in introducing Western Liberalism in the country.
The Blue Wave has turned into a Black Wave and almost blackened the country with only one incident which is regarded insane.
