Spalling

Screaming at moldy walls
Where broken hearts bloom into dark stains.
Wretched feelings seep through the plaster.
Please, stop the walls from falling apart.

I’m watching the fissure open its mouth and swallow me.
Can you seal these cracks with me still inside?
Hiding the pain in hollow spaces,
cement veins,
let me rot while I wait for my decomposition.

Fill them.

Before the walls seep me out
because I was alive.
