TFC: The Legend of Magda Searus, now available

The book launched July-2nd and already we're in the top lists on Amazon and the reviews feedback has been incredibly positive. This is a strange place for a well-published author to be. 14 previously printed novels and for the first time, it's just readers and us.

We'd like to know; how much of this experience, from our perspective, do you want to hear about? Are you interested just in only the 'final product' (the stories) or are you curious about the process and what this road has entailed?

Jerry Wayne Hart I want to hear about the writing process. Do you write longhand and then transcribe it later? Maybe post a picture of a manuscript, to show everyone what a professional one looks like.

Terry Milien The whole process! To know what you have been through on all fronts might be an eye-opener for those still pigheaded. Loving the book so far (37% in, according to my Kindle app!) :-)

message 3: by Trista (new)

Trista I'm still waiting on the Kobo version! Please please please? I'm just hoping we get the Kobo version before the lower price special runs out...

Sandra (LT) I have loved every minute of the Launch Event for TFC and I am so happy that you did this. Being involved with a storyline for so long connects you to the author - you start to understand that person and feel "connected". For you to be so involved with your fans for the launch means a lot! I would love to hear all about the process and the road that lead us to this point.

How do you go about getting the words onto paper? Do you have a particular place where the words flow? How does the story come to you? Do you feel "free" now that you have control of the story? Were you nervous that you would lose your fans? How did the Launch Party make you feel?

I have always wanted to write, and I have so many ideas - but the words don't get to the paper. LOL! Maybe one day....

Elizabeth I would like to hear about the entire process. The finished book that I enjoy is only the end result I like to hear all about how you get there. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity to support you in a more direct manner.

Samnatha Main If i could follow you on the process of writing that would be truly epic, I would have a great addiction in seeing what you have to say, and I would follow with enthusiastic intensity!

Terry Goodkind Kobo version now available. The post has been updated with the link (http://www.kobobooks.com/ebook/The-Fi...). Thank you.

K_N_Mama Terry, I would love to hear more about the process start to finish! This has been an extremely fun adventure to go on with you and my fellow fans! :-) Thank you!

Andrew Terry,

I'd love to hear all about the self-publishing process/experience! Please keep us updated.

Will there be a google version? I'm in the google content ecosystem (DRM-free can't come fast enough!), and I want to buy the book ASAP. But BN/Kindle/Kobo versions don't work for me.

Thanks for doing this!

message 10: by Frode (new)

Frode I posted this on the previous thread before I noticed this one, sorry for the duplicate. Amazon still lists this as unavailable in Europe (I'm in Norway).

message 11: by Janet (new)

Janet I'd love to hear more about your methods when developing a story. Do you flesh it out before you actually write it, or do you let the story tell you where it leads? I would have to think you flesh it out, especially since so many different things from each of the different novels correspond to each other, it seems impossible for it to flow as well as the 15 combined titles do without some sort of pre-planning.

I'd really love to hear about the self-publishing process and experience. I find everything you have done fascinating, and I can't wait to read more!

message 12: by Shantelle (new)

Shantelle I just wish it was available to those of us who aren't rich enough to have an eBook reader. :-(

You mean you can't afford the $0 the Kindle reader download would set you back?

Ignoring that, this book is still not available in some regions. It's ridiculous how difficult this can be, even when the author/publisher has specifically announced a world-wide release. For me, torrents are the only option so far.

message 14: by Richard (new)

Richard I have gotten mine yet but I want to hear the whole process tha would be super and if it has changed over time how?

Like you I do not have a reader and like paper but if you go to Amazon you can download the kindle app for your computer like I'm going to doI guess. Unless someone gives me one ...lol

message 15: by Carrie (new)

Carrie Everything! I want to know everything you do. I know you put your heart and soul into writing because it shows in the books. All that passion for your characters. But I would love to know all the physical stuff included.

message 16: by Amanda (new)

Amanda Brandt I want to know everything about why you chose to release it this way.

message 17: by Melissa (new)

Melissa Rinkenberger ALL OF IT!!!!

message 18: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I would love to see your process...including the research aspects. ^_^ What kind of resources you use, what books you read to fill in the details and what not. Do you prepare information and research/study first and then start writing or do you write and research/study as things come along....

Actually, I want some of the resources you use ^_^ You are obviously familiar with symbolism, psychology, and aspects of history....yeah..
I want to know it all ^_^

message 19: by Karina (new)

Karina I'm mostly intrested in the final result, but I am usually interested in brief author's notes about the process. I've always particularly enjoyed notes of Piers Anthony.

My Kindle edition says there's supplemental content coming in August -- is that what it's going to be?

P.S. This is the first ebook I've read on my Kindle! I kinda liked the experience. I could make notes while reading although typing is relatively slow. I felt the ebook is well-produced; no glaring typos which sometimes happen even in printed books.A few times I wished for a table of contents though so I could go back to some earlier chapters more easily. Even though chapters are merely numbered without titles, it still would give a bit more control than paging back or scrolling.
