Miriam Lyons was interviewed by Waleed Aly about the “pros and cons of offshore processing”. Miriam drew on research by John Menadue AO, Kate Gauthier and Arja Keski-Nummi for the 2011 report, A New Approach.

While federal politicians work to broker a political solution to the offshore asylum seeker policy impasse, some are questioning whether the Government’s preference is the best solution to keeping people off dangerous boats.
