Call of the Tree Book I The Faithwalker Series

After political and religious strife ripped our world apart, a new country with no name vowed to punish and eradicate anyone holding onto the old ways. However, one-hundred years later, teens Stephanie and Vaughn can’t help challenging everything about their corrupt surroundings, while unaware of being involved in plots that extend far beyond their little town, their country with no name, and even the world as they know it.
Stephanie sees transparent gray arms reaching inside people’s heads. Vaughn’s vision of a blackness blowing up people from the inside out astonishes him. Amidst miserable homes and dangerous peer confrontations, they must find the meaning of their experiences and the strength to prevail.
What are faithwalkers? Potentially the most powerful people alive –Earth’s only hope against the coming evils, that is, if they survive the terrible hardships through which they are always born.
Faith in one’s abilities, faith in a true friend, faith in mere goodness . . . they will need all of those and more to keep from dying . . . or worse.

Call of the Tree- One of five semi-finalists in Reader Views 2007 Literary Awards for Teen Fiction

Paige Lovitt from Reader Views: Call of the Tree is a great thought- provoking novel. I really look forward to reading future books in this series.

Your book's got that realism that not only makes you want to keep reading it, but gets you thinking about what the characters are saying and thinking.

Actually, I think reading your book(s) and Orwell’s 1984 together could be beneficial to people; they're a great match. Both of them show the importance of thinking. Bottom line I guess is that even though 1984's a great book, Call of the Tree's just... more fun to read! Because the situation it describes is NOT hopeless. Call of the Tree already has everything 1984 did and so much more.

reading your book; took me about 12 hours. mmmmmmmmmm very thoughtful, deep sensitive . COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN, HA! You really are an awesome and talented writer. Did you know Frank Peretti books? I don't elevate just any author to that level; nor do I just spend an entire evening with no sleep at all on just anyone's book. I'm eagerly anticipating the next book; may you sell a million!

I really enjoyed your book. I think it is exceptional. I found that it makes me think very deeply about each issue. I hope there will be some teachers, counselors, social workers, parents, etc who will be willing to read your book in order to gain a better understanding of the kids they work with.
