We've narrowed it to these two attached covers for the new novel, and as always, would love your help picking the winner. So please vote and tell us which one you like best (one on the right or one on the left?).

No, you don't need to know what it's about. For once, judge a book by its cover.

Much love and thanks.

Zach I prefer the layout of the cover on the left (without trees in the foreground). It seems to portray a sniper shot past the American flag rather than through the flag, as the other illustration does. Can't wait to read it!

message 2: by Linda (new)

Linda Stoner I prefer the one on the right. Love having a bit of Nature among all the stone!

message 3: by Amanda (new)

Amanda I prefer the one on the right. The darker red and blue on the right cover really stands out better than the lighter blue and red on the left cover.

message 4: by Matīss (last edited Jul 02, 2012 11:20PM) (new)

Matīss I don't know all that marketing stuff, perhaps cover on the right would be more attractive and thus people would pay more attention to the book. But I feel some magic fascination about coldness of the cover on the left.
But finally - let it be the one on the right!

message 5: by Amy (new)

Amy Binkerd I like the left one. Can't wait to read it!

message 6: by Angela (new)

Angela I prefer the right one - seems more ominous.
The blurriness of the flag in the left one distracts me.

message 7: by Rodney (new)

Rodney Holmes The one on the right. There is a sense of the flag being at half staff and feeling of being in a sniper blind.

message 8: by Haley (new)

Haley Georgi I like the one on the right the tees add something to it and the flag is cool.

message 9: by Arja (new)

Arja On the right is better... because there is more strong in the picture...the another is so light! :)

message 10: by Kerry (new)

Kerry I like the coloring for the one of the right best - but I do like the bigger and offset flag for the one the left, as well as the shot aimed under the flag instead of through it. If I have to pick one - I'd say the one on the right. If you can kinda combine the 2 designs, even better :)!

message 11: by Kristin (new)

Kristin The one on the right

message 12: by Titaniel (new)

Titaniel The one on the right. Something about the blurriness in the left one makes my eyes hurt.

message 13: by Kate (new)

Kate I like the cover on the right - clearer and jumps out at me more.

message 14: by Ruby (new)

Ruby The one on the right. It's bolder and more eyecatching

message 15: by ShotofPatron (new)

ShotofPatron The one on the right. It's more appealing, but I don't like how the target is not aiming at anything yet the left cover it's aiming at the monument.

message 16: by Cellerbe (new)

Cellerbe I Like the one on the left without the trees in the background. It looks more ominous while the one on the right looks like the assassin is targeting a flag pole.

message 17: by Wayne (new)

Wayne Walker left

message 18: by Renee (new)

Renee I like the white one on the left

message 19: by David (new)

David Elkin Book cover left for me

message 20: by dan (new)

dan Left cover does it for me... Seems as though the target is placed more on the monument rather than the waving flag.

message 21: by Kris (new)

Kris I prefer the cleaner look of the one on the left

message 22: by Randall (last edited Jul 08, 2012 08:44AM) (new)

Randall Christopher I think the one on the right is a bit more direct. The coloring is definitely better and I like the smaller flag. The one on the left seems too askew to me as if the target is uncertain. This could have been done on purpose due to the content of the story, but that is the perception it gives to me. The one on the right definitely intrigues me more.

message 23: by Linda (new)

Linda right just more interesting

message 24: by Tim (new)

Tim I prefer the one on the right, it stands out better in my opinion.

message 25: by Bronwyn (new)

Bronwyn I pick the one of the left. It's more obvious that the target is on the white house.

message 26: by Jamie (new)

Jamie Jones I like the one on the right...

message 27: by Marc (new)

Marc Cardinal All i need to see are the words Brad Meltzer on the cover and I'm buying!

I vote Left.

message 28: by Anita (new)

Anita Wilkerson The right.

message 29: by Kris (new)

Kris I prefer the one on the right...has more stopping power.

message 30: by Bobbie (new)

Bobbie The one on the right. It's more stunning and seems to reach out and grab you.

message 31: by skywalker (new)

skywalker (uninspired) no doubt! the one on the right..!

message 32: by Diana (new)

Diana Graham the one on the left. but again, as my co-worker pointed out, it really seems as though the one on the left is aiming right at the white house and the right points to the flag, perhaps denoting the death of american culture. i still say left left left!

message 33: by Judith (new)

Judith Schneider right, definitely.

message 34: by J.R. (new)

J.R. The one on the right.
