Cyndy Aleo Commenting in hopes that other reviewers who may have missed will take a look. I really don't find much cause for reviewers to need print ARCs in this day and age. We have Adobe; we can annotate PDFs. I'm actually sort of annoyed when an ARC comes in for review as print, because I know it's being mailed twice, even though I'll undoubtedly share it afterward. For those buying books: librarians, booksellers, etc. I think it still makes sense, but for bloggers and reviewers, I think we should be past the point of needing them, and it would cut down on the costs and the greed. The push at ALA is to sell conference tickets, but I think it's lost much of its focus in recent years mainly BECAUSE of the rush to get early copies.
